 La vela perfumada Alasora está recubierta de rafia beige sobre la que se teje el motivo aborigen que representa los lugares sagrados, coloreados con una mezcla de ocre rojo y negro. Los colores de esta vela, tejida a mano por una cooperativa de mujeres de Madagascar, son los más africanos de todos.

Raphia is an endemic plant species harvested every year. The leaves are dried, then cut into long strips for dyeing and crocheting. Our women's cooperative in Madagascar has been making our Raphia candles for 8 years, under the impetus of our creative direction. The motifs are first designed and then produced by the crocheters in Madagascar. This annual project enables women to make a decent living and send their children to school.

We offer a choice of 3 delivery options within the United States (Ground, 2-Day and Next Day). All orders are shipped from our fulfillment center in New Jersey.
At this time we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or military addresses. We offer Free Ground shipping within the 48 continental U.S. states only. Shipping rates for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories will vary. Shipping charges will be based on the weight of the items ordered and shipping destination. If shipped Ground, packages should be received within:

1-2 business days - Midwest

2-3 business days - Central & Eastern Coast

4-5 business days - West Coast & Canada
